i was wanting to see mayb one of the fmic on the car and a top view with everything installed..but it said in ur thread u were blowing out 2nd and 3rd gear and ur piston rings went bad...is this this kit more for a built engine rather than a stock?

Im in the same boat. I was gonna get the new sti but it would mean waiting a year or so and it has some crazy ring issues I am disappointed with. Then I was looking at picking up a C5 and having a buddy build it up to race but I would need to keep the cobalt. Im sick of it but ring went on #1 so I want to make this car more interesting.

pics tomorow. figured out why 3rd gear was blowing out. Input and output shaft were bent causing the 2 gears not to be fully meshed and they would give out under full boost.

Piston rings cracked because the engine had 87,000kms on it and has been pushed very hard for its entire life. This kit will work fine on a stock engine at about 15-20psi but anything above that you should have at least upgraded psitons.

 

what were you doing for clutch and axles.

stock axels. I have a excedy hypersingle i will let go for a extra $500 if someone buys tye turbo kit.

Do you know the thickness of the pipe?
