Help on good deals..

Hi Guys, I have a friend at work that owns a '05 LS cobalt and needs some help getting a good deal on parts or at least some better quotes than what he has been getting.

Here's the need:

-driver's side front quarter panel in sunburst metallic orange.

the quote for the the panel from the dealer was $1000 installed.... anyone know where he could get it less or is that the best bet?

Also when he took it into get his tires rotated and the bottom pinchweld on the passenger side was all bent to **** cause they didn't up the hoist in the wrong place.... any suggestions on this one?? (the dealership was the one that did it too)

Thanks in advance guys!

Even if the dealership is "privately owned" or so they said that they were....

Most dealerships are privately owned, but they are franchised through Chevy. You can't just open up a dealership and decide you're going to sell a certain car, you have to be awarded a franchise from the manufacturer in order to sell their cars. Techs must be certified through them, etc. So if there's a problem, you still go through Chevy and they will handle the dealer.

Hey thanks to Alley and to xskier, he is gonna call the # and see if he can't do something about the dealership... as for the front quarter panel..... well let's just say he is a little bit more relaxed about the actual "look" of his car and doesn't mind OVER much that it isn't fixed as of yet.

Don't get me wrong he wants it fixed... just is ok with waiting for a bit.. go figure
