Ipod integration kit for sale

I have an ipod integration kit for sale for the cobalt? It's the kind of kit that connects to your radio's wiring harness, so you can control your ipod through your steering wheel controls. If anyone is interested please let me know

Does this work with any Cobalt head unit? or just the ones with the aux input in the head unit? Mines an 05, so it doesn't have the aux. input.

I think it will work for yours. This does not plug into the aux input on the front of the newer cobalts. This system gets hard wired into the rear of the stereo. There is a separate wire that plugs into the bottom of the ipod so tis allows the ipod to be played and controlled through your steering wheel controls. It also displays the song on your radio. Do you have factory XM radio? Because this particular setup works in conjunction with xm.

First thing you will do is remove the stereo.

Disconnect radio harness and plug it into this.

Then plug this end into radio

This end plugs into the ipod interface.

This is the ipod interface

This is the relay and wiring that gets connected to the XM radio control module.

Here is the ipod cable.

This end gets plugged into the ipod interface.

This is the ipod interface where that ipod cable gets connected to.

I assume you're talking about PAL...that's the same idea as this...it's not one simple little wire. It has a "brain" just like this that hooks into the back of the head unit (it's probably stored down in the driver's side footwell where the factory amp would also be). You only see one wire.

$100 is a good price.

Bump.

If that one simple cord is in your glove box then you have pal installed (personal audio link) This is very similar to that, the one I am selling is an aftermarket version to that.

Yes, I have the PAL. It plugs into the XM Radio Box underneath the center console between the heater vents. That seems like a nice and easy setup for aftermarket. Goodluck, hope you sell it.

Please explain how it didn't fit?

Also, I don't have XM, but does that make a difference to whether this will work or not?

my radio didn't have the xm radio installed, so the plugs were different. It just seemed like I needed something to plug into. cobalt blue said he had XM radio installed, so it fit ok. I didn't get the option, so I was missing the plug.

Do me a favor John, take a picture of your head unit from the front, and remove it and take a pic of the plugs. I looked into this and spoke to a friend who works for chevy, and he told me you do not need XM for the harness to fit. The only connection you would use in your case is the large plugs. The long wire that is attatched to that relay would not be used. Thats what connects to the XM interface. So post those pics so I can get a look at what you have. Thanks.
