blown cars around here have gone for 3000 dollars including all parts to rebuild the car. Part outs are only going to get you about the same.

That's the original question I had . Thanks for giving me at least a guesstimate . Appreciate it.

yeah I am sorry man, I hate that our cars get so little money but they are an economy car made in the millions and they are rental cars as well.

There is a guy here that bought a fully setup cobalt ss/sc 2006 with all new bumpers, fenders, grille, hood, with the paint done for 3000 bucks. The guy bought it and rebuilt the car with the parts that came with it. Just unreal deal! When the motor blows everyone wants to unload so they are easy to come by as younger novice drivers are getting them.

Mongorat would probably be fair to offer you 3000ish for the car depending on whether its LSD, options, etc.

Sorry for the hardship man. Money is so easily wasted on these cars.

So in theory you just need a new short block and can rebuild from there? Maybe there's one in a local junk yard? Would suck to see you part out and take a loss, when perhaps only a few hundred bucks and some elbow grease could get it back together. If you do end up getting a block and rebuilding, I'll be happy to help turn wrenches.

I have a motor the is all good except a ring or ringland on #4. Shipping to Arizona might be pricey but for $250 I would let it go.

If it comes to it and the funds are available I may be sending you a Pm.

Sounds good. Just let me know as soon as you can. The shop it is at wants it gone and I can't transport it. Is your block shot or ???

I could disassemble if need be as well. If you don't need the head you can have the block without the head for $50 plus the price of shipping.
