This is a brand new 2002-2006 Ecotec L61 valve cover that has been powdercoated gloss black by Keystone Powdercoating. It is not the color I was expecting and I am unable to return it. It has never been used. Asking $100 even plus shipping.

It is solid gloss black. The picture of the advertised cover when I bought it was a smoky chrome grey. That was what I wanted, but I got black. I even sent it back the first time but got the exact same thing back.

It will not fit an 07 or an LSJ, sorry.

The 2007 L61 engine got Coil-On-Plug (COP) ignition, which includes an exhaust camshaft position sensor. That sensor attaches to the head, and the valve cover was redesigned to accomodate it.

 

Well that pretty much sucks... I think that valve cover looks good and it seems like a reasonable price

 

never changed the valve cover, is it just unbolt the old and replace or more complicated than that?

 

You would need a new gasket, but otherwise it's just remove and replace.
