Don't buy from MICHIGANFOOTBALL911!

Ok, so I'm sure that nobody here wants to read anymore of these threads and I really didn't want to make it but I'm stuck and was hoping that someone on here could give me some advise on the matter. I got talking to a member on here about a month and a half ago about some retro headlights. Fast forward we decided on a price with shipping, about 300usd and I payed him using pay pal. Two weeks go by and the guy still didn't mail them out to me but with me getting on him everyday I was finally given a tracking number and I thought everything was all good. Well two weeks later my headlights get to the post office and I head to pick them up, man what a shock. These are some pics of the box before I opened it and also picks of what I found inside.

As you can see the box was in bad shape and the lights were even worse. There was only a towel and two strips of bubble wrap in the box with nothing between either lights or around them. Also the lights were missing screws, a shroud from inside and the corners were all chipped up. Because I'm not the shipper I can't file a claim with USPS and now I'm out 300usd. I've showed these pics to the member and pleaded with him to help me out and after he said he would look into it, I've now heard nothing back from him in 2 weeks. Anyway I was just looking for any advice I could get from people this has happened to and also the member was MICHIGANFOOTBALL911, I would advise not buying from him as he has proven to be pretty untrustworthy to me. Sorry again for posting this but I didn't know what to do.

File a claim with paypal. You can do this for an item that was not as described or such and the seller won't work with you, and you'll get all your money back!

Edit: Login into paypal and click on resolution center. Good Luck!

He put 120 insurance on it but since I can't get a hold of him to file a claim, it does not matter. USPS says I can't do anything, only the shipper can

I had no idea that I could go through them. I thought that because it was a forum, they would not honor anything. Thanks for the help.

As long as you didn't "gift" the money to him you can file a non-ebay claim on him. Good luck, this stuff sucks.

If you didn't gift it file a claim through eBay. If you did gift it go to either your bank or credit card company, whoever it went through, and tell them it is unauthorized. You will have to write a letter and re-activate your paypal and whatnot, but you will get your money back. Been there done that with a guy on these forums before, good luck.

I think he means paypal... can't file a claim on ebay for something bought on the forums.
