How does the AEM CAI sit on the motor, can you find me a picture, I tried googling couldnt find one.
Reason I ask, I just bought a cobalt last friday that had a autozone spectre cold air intake on it, that the kid had chopped up and modified. and ended up hydrolocking the motor and bending the rods.
So im gonna need something else, and I will not want it anywhere near sucking up water.

never used aem intake for lsj-$100+shipping
4 powder coated wheels, stock ss/sc was going to use for winter tires on my ss sedan, but they're too nice to get them covered in salt. $400

all intakes(even the stock one) sit in the same spot on the ss/sc. so unless your car wasnt running right, i wouldnt bother switching out intakes, simple solution to sucking up water is to not drive through 2ft puddles.

Found out, they did the airbox mod,so it was stock intake, modified for a cone filter.

i wouldnt bother...just stay out of 2ft puddle.? if any air goes through the bypass...it will be unmetered air and make your car run weird. i ran a cai on my ss/sc for 2 years without an issue with 75k miles. i then bought a second ss/sc and intended to install this, but sold it for a ss turbo sedan before i got a chance.
