Hi guys, just tore down my original LSJ the other day. Head gasket began to go so I changed engines (had a spare). I have virtually everything in the engine and head ready to go. If you need the crank, I guess I can split the block but that looks pretty intense! If anyone needs the rotating assembly intact, please let me know ASAP, I haven't pulled the pistons and can reinstall the shafts. I'll have some pictures up tonight but feel free to send PMs with requests whenever.

I am planning on bringing the head to my speedshop on Wednesday to have it checked for flatness. Will report back with the results, I'm confident its good.

 

Head checked out fine, shop said they wouldn't touch the deck putting it back on a motor.

I would take the block but I am wary if you see your head gasket was going, some of the LSJ's had block issues that looked like a headgasket leak. Where you able to nail down it was the headgasket?

I don't have any external accessories, everything was transferred over to my new engine. And I already looked up shipping this thing on a pallet and the price was astronomical. I think local pickup or local delivery by me is the only option.
