Thumbs down LSJ Throttlebody IMMEDIATELY

Not trying to break the bank but I got code P2135 and believe the issue is the used throttle body I bought then painted. SO if anyone has a fairly new one or knows the best place to get one PLEASE let me know ASAP. I need to get my car running.

Thanks,
-JS

cool. The wiring for my relay to my IC pump was out. Tried to reconnect but no connectors. Pump does not seem to be working. I want to get the right connectors tomorrow and then if that doesn't work I'll send you a PM for the TB.

there are a few things that can cause this at once. if it's just that one code. it's the tb. if there is more. there is stress on the harness somewhere

That's how it's been so far since I've been s/c for less than a week. Runs great when it runs. Just have a real hard time getting it out of "P" and "R"

I have a tune that "fixes" this (kind of a band-aid I feel). Should I install it or just test w/ a different TB?

Hmm. Had my 2.2 S/C go into "engine power reduced" the other day. Been s/c'ed for a month or 2 now and was the first time I had that happen. Got the same p2135. Restarted the car and it was running fine again.

Yep. This happened to me earlier in the week. Restarted the car and it was gone. The past two days is a different story. Start it up and hunt's down idle for a couple seconds and then stalls out. REDUCED PWR and SERVICE TRACTION constantly on DIC.

Took the LSJ TB off. Wiped it down. Unplugged the TPS sensor. Reinstalled the LSJ TB. Plugged the TPS sensor back in. Fired right up. No CEL's as of yet. Going to go do some minor cruising right now. Hopefully I don't have any issues.

Well, Just took it around the block... nothing major.

Had a couple issues. Still feels like it's trying to hunt down idle. Stalled out once in reverse. When in boost it runs great, very responsive until I let off the gas, then it goes way rich then way lean then back and forth again, continuing the hunt. It will eventually find it and not stall.

Think it's the tune?

Car runs great now that the tune has been adjusted.

Still think I may order a new TB just in case this happens again.

I jumped to conclusions...

Good news and bad news...

Car ran great last night when I took it out for a 45 minute cruise. Idled nicely, pulled great... 115 in third and still puling strong, 11 psi.

This morning started her up and BAM... P2135 and P0300. I'm like 95% sure it's the TB causing the P2135. I will swap it out when I get a new LSJ TB and hopefully that will solve it.

Might swap it for the LS4 TB today and run the tune Vince sent for it. Thoughts on this?

I have heard bad things about the LS4. Way to touchy and really isn't needed for what your running.

Right now I'm just trying to diagnose an issue. If it runs "fine" (no CEL's) w/ the LS4 the I will look at getting a new LSJ.
