Diamond Pistons 10:1 doing a build and they didnt work. long story. anyways i need to sell them. i would like to get 400 plus shipping but i need to sell them. make me a offer. i can get some pics if needed. but you know what they look like. there are less then a month of run time on them. never beat on b\c we kept having problems.

factory bore on my motor was too big. factory: 3.3582 or something mine 3.3987 and i didnt do a thing to it. also i didnt check it before i put them in so they were too too too small and i had bad oil blow by. so i bored it .20 over and had some customs made and diamond wont take them back b\c they have been ran. so i will let them go. theres nothing wrong with the pistons though.

If I wanted to run those pistons what would I have to do (only mods are in sig) ?

 

you wouldnt have to do anything but put them in. you dont have to have anything else. but if and when you go to a smaller pully and more fuel you will need pistons. but like i said as of now you dont need anything else. but while you have it apart you can do anything you want. i would do a gasket but you dont have to

 

Well I would have to at least get it tuned right? Higher compression ratio? I was just wondering if I would need like colder plugs too or something of that nature.

edit - also just kinda curious, how long you figure it would take to install? I couldn't do it myself, so I am wondering a rough time estimate so I can multiply that by the labor price

 

if you put a bigger gasket you wont have to tune it you will only bump the comp. a lil. i think it was like 20 hours or something. so if you get the comet gasket you will be fine.

Are they coated, either ceramic tops or moly skirts? The only rings that come with them are the used set you already ran, right?

 

there are no rings they were ran so there no good. and they are just the standard pistons diamond make so there is no coating that i know of. any more questions let me know.

b\c you cant get new ones for 390. i had a deal with diamond b\c i already bought a set at retail price so they helped me out with a deal on my 2nd set of pistons. but if you can find new ones for 390 let me know and i will lower the price. and there not even slightly used the motor ran for 30 min. untill the plugs fouled out. but it doesnt make a difference. everything is good with the piston just to small for me.
