One of a kind GM OEM CD/MP3/DVD/iPod Stereo

For Sale: GM OEM CD/MP3/DVD/iPod Head Unit - $500 plus shipping costs
Get the look of OEM with the function of aftermarket!

Pictures: http://jsmigielski.photoape.com/albums.cfm

Please read carefully if interested. Payments will be accepted through Paypal only (no checks).

This head unit was manufactured by Clarion for a GM OEM application for Buick in Shanghai, China. It is truely one of a kind here in the US. All menus and text are in English despite intended use in China. However, a brief Buick splash screen w/Chinese is displayed at ignition ON. It is capable of playback of AM/FM, CDs, DVDs, MP3 CDs and iPod via (6) playlists through an included external black box connection (there is no ID3 display). Please note: It does not have navigation or satellite radio capabilities.

Mechanically it is a perfect fit into the Cobalt dash opening and will bolt right in. The stereo will be sold with the necessary wiring adapter to plug into the OEM Cobalt harness without modification. Two additional connections are also required for ACC & illumination. I can provide installation guidance for the buyer via email. Once connections are made, it is fully functional including illumination and factory steering wheel controls (if equipped). Included as well is an IR remote control.

The stereo also has capabilities to support (1) AV input, (1) rear camera input, (2) external video monitors and an aftermarket Clarion CD changer in place of the iPod Black box connection. These items are NOT included with the head unit. The camera and external monitor connections may require additional wire connectors not provided with the head unit sale.

Since the this head unit was manufactured for another GM application, it is best suited for an individual with some basic experience in car audio installations.

FYI- I used it in a 2005 Cobalt with the Pioneer system. It should also work in a non-amplified solution since it has internal amplification built in (approximately 25Wx4).

If you have any additional questions, please contact me via PM. Thanks for looking!

Since I could use the money and I feel like being a nice guy, I am adjusting the price to $400 plus shipping. This is my bottom line on the radio.

Please email me if you are interested.

Thanks!

Nothing wierd about the price drop... I'm just in a bit of a financial bind now and need the money more than I need the stereo. I'm also giving the opportunity for someone who appreciates it to get a deal.

Thanks for looking guys but the head unit was sold and shipped to a good home. As for where you can buy one, you probably can't. I am 100% certain it is the only one in the US. It is manufactured and used only in the China market for Buick. I had to go through a lot of hoops and hurdles to get it here and to get it to work in the Cobalt.
