They are. I've seen them and installed a few sets. I dunno if they actually work but I can say that they are a royal pain in the a$$ to install!

the tools have nothing to do with it. the drivers side it a royal pain in the a$$! You have about half a MM of extra space to get the thing in between the rack and the cradle. I had to rig up something to give me enough leverage to get enough room to get the damn thing in there. The passenger side is cake...

I did mine the same way as you did. The drivers side is tighter than a drum. They didn't leave much room to maneuver things around there. You pretty much wrestle with it for a while and then all of the sudden it just pops in...

I did this too, seemed to have plenty of space to put it in there, just a bitch to get at the driverside bolt with any torque. Also couldnt torque the bolts properly so I just wrenched on em best as I could.

And yes, those look exactly the same as OTTP so they probably are.

Taz, did you get the thicker spacers? I got the thin ones, like the ones for sale here. They are super easy to install. The passenger's side should be done from underneath, with a good 1/2 ratchet. A flex head will help.

The driver's side can be done by taking the wheel off, and going in from the side. I'd suggest a short 18mm socket + 1/2 drive ratchet. No need for a flex head on this side. It's quite easy. Easier than the passenger's side, imo. Taz, did you loosen both sides to give you room to slide the spacer in?

If I'm under the car again soon, I'll try to get a how to up. I see people asking about this, and it really is a no brainer.

If you're dropped, get these spacers.

I never did them on my car. I did them on two cars last year for friends because they gave up and couldn't get them in. The ones I put in were PROBABLY the thicker ones. They literally had 1/16 of an inch clearance. The people got them free when they ordered sportlines from OTTP like a year ago. I'm telling you if the ones I installed were the thin ones I would have hated to see the thick ones...

I will take them off your hands. My car is lowered on Progress springs and I lost some steering ability. Pay pal address?

I just need to know where to put these.

basically you unbolt the rack and place them between the rack and the frame and tighten the bolts back down...

In theory it's not a hard job BUT clearance on the drivers side was an issue on every set I installed. I personally found it best to take both bolts out and then do the drivers side first and then do the passenger side and then bolt every thing back up. Probably gonna want to do an alignment after you install them or at least get it checked since this changes the geometry of the suspension (I believe it will toe the wheels in a little)...
