Wanted Shorty antenna
I lost a few stations and get horrible reception they said they haven't had issues but I did notice there's about a 1/16th of an inch from the base not covered they told me to cut some off I just laughed and hung up, screw mpx there ***** garbage!
Do you have an 06?
If you get an all aluminium one it'll work better than a carbon fiber one. ARK Performance makes one that's pricey but fits flush, looks great and gets good reception. It's like $30.00 - $40.00.
My ARK gets HORRIBLE reception, I can't even begin to describe how bad it comes in.
[QUOTE=FryLoch;6068548]Take your antenna, Cut it to desired length, file the end, sand till smooth, rattle can paint flat black.
That's mine and it only cost me nothing...
I cut mine to desired length (didn't have to paint) and top it off with a vacuum hose cap. Looks good and reception is fine.

my MPX one gets great reception still, idk who this **** tard talking **** about MPX is, i have alot of there stuff and they have never let me down quality or shipping wise
The shorty antenna that I have on my t/c is Horrific, I don't get not even one station that comes in, I just bought the car and I just need some advise on what shorty antenna to go with cause I can't stand not being able to listen to the radio!
I have a brand new mpx I'll sell you for $15 shipped. Youll have to measure your threads though and see if they're 6mm or 7mm. 06 had two different ones. Mine was 7mm and I bought 6 at first. So now I have an extra one.
i have one on my car.. i get kinda crappy reception in my car when im at my place until i head toward town and when im in san antonio, i pick up perfect reception and i got MPX shorty and it looks great.. honestly tho my car had shotty reception when i had the stocker antenna on.. soooo it didn really make that much of a difference except for 5 cool points and 5 plus hp lmao...
thats exactly what I did except I also put a rubber hose cap on the top. Except that I get bad reception but not because of the shorty mod, because for some reason the adapter I have for my after market heas unit hates the radio lol
