SS SC exhaust

My muffler has crapped out at 73 xxx kms. It sounds like a freakin lawnmowr now....really bad....upon inspection, I saw a hole in it, and it sounds like at least one of the baffles is rattling around in there.

I called the GM dealership to price a GMPP exhaust, and they want 706 CDN for the touring, and 588 CDN for the performance. He didn't even want to look up the parts for me, as I had to find the part numbers myself on this site and call him back.

I love the sound clip of the touring that I found on another website, but can't quite afford that right now. Is the performance version(which looks better imo) really that much louder???

Does anyone have one for sale that will ship to/within canada for less than what I was quoted. I am really looking for an nice upgrade that won't make my ears bleed on the highway.

Thanks for the reply, I'll let you know as I'd like to improve anything that breaks.....nothing personal, but if I can't get a hold of one I'll let you know. I'm still interested in how much it would cost me though if it isn't any harm checking for me.

I've been running the the sport for about 55k miles now and still love it.

I get complements for Evo and BMW owners all the time

I'm still trying to figure out why the sport is cheaper than the touring.

Subscribed cause I'm looking for one too, and this thread interests me to know why there's a price difference between the touring and the performance. On CED, the price is the same!!

Just to let you know I have a GMPP muffler. Just the muffler from the GMPP catback, along with the GM tip with it. Let me know if your interested. It has plenty of pipe sticking off the end to weld on to your stock exhaust. It sounds great.

I don't care for the bowtie on the straight cut, but I like the look of the way it juts out.....so that's what I ordered.......shipping will take 2 days. You know I'll youtube it.

I was in new minas tonight to pick it up.......all except the tip. That's coming from california and will be here in 2 more days. On the way, I saw 3 SS's. A silver 2.4, a blue SC, and a dark blue TC. The exhaust is going on after work tomorrow....should only take a half hour to do it myself.

yeah right...... I figured it would take the longest to put the car on jacks. I cut off the rear section just before the 90 degree bend, then i went to "unbolt the flange on the resonator..........F@CK!!! can someone please tell me why these two nuts on the flange are WELDED!!!!!? and the heads are round.....not rounded from using the wrong socket, but round from the factory. It's almost like this isn't supposed to come off. The instructions that came with the exhaust say to "unbolt the two 15 mm bolts from the flange just ahead of the resonator. They were 12mm nuts, not 15 mm.\

I NEED HELP ASAP!!!! I AM DRIVING WITH ONLY THE RESONATOR ON, AND IT'S WAY TOO LOUD!!!!! on top of that, the exhaust is exiting right onto my fuel lines. HOW DO I TAKE APART THAT DAMN FLANGE INFRONT OF THE RESONATOR????? HELP!!!!!!!

So after I pulled off the factory exhaust, and inspected it, it was found that a heat shield weld was broken, and that was causing the noise I was hearing. It was the heat shield over the hump that goes over the rear axle. So now I am going to sell this factory catback. I'll start a new post for it.
