Thumbs up Trade: Have Alpine CDA-9831 Want OEM Radio

I just bought my 07 Cobalt LS. I want the better radio with tabbed digital menu and MP3 capability. I want a black one. If you have a silver one, I'd like the trim that goes with it. I have an awesome Alpine HU EDIT: ((( CDA-9831 )) that plays MP3 and is 50x4 MOFSET. Was in my truck before I got this. It is in excellent condition and an amazing HU. I am deciding to keep the stock look. So, any trades out there?

I am also willing to trade this for anything else. If you have any...

-Trim
-Black leather or cloth seats
-leather Steering wheel with audio controls
-Or anything else Cobalt related

Reply here or PM me to make a deal.

Hope someone out there could use this!

EDIT: TRADE COMPLETED. Traded for radio and Black Leather Seats. Thanks SKDR112888

EDITED as I mentioned the wrong model number. It is CDA-9821 and NOT 7995!

EDITED added pictures!

I am not sure. I believe you can, but it won't work 100%.

I want 2007 radios only though please. And I would really like the silver radio with trim!

Or, anyone want to trade their leather seats?

Where are you located? I'm about to swap out my factory radio just as soon as Kenny from CA sends me tha correct wiring harness. But love how tha bracket fits perfect in an 07 Cobalt from an 04 Malibu.

Central Pennsylvania, Zip 16801. So you have an 07 Cobalt Radio? Do you have any pictures? Preferably with it on. Thanks!

Looked at some radios today at the dealer. I think I would prefer a black one instead. I need one ASAP!

No scratches or any errors at all (car is only 3months old). However, tha only controls on tha wheel are for Cruise. Srry, can't help u with those.

That's kewl. For some reason, I though Kenny @ Cobalt-Addition would know more about cobalts. lol He doesn't seem to know what wire is needed for tha 07 'balt HU. I think he was tha one who decked out BadG1rlz car, though so he can't be all THAT bad

I just sent him pics of my radio; he said he's look'n into what wire I would need to plug into tha factory male connector.

So you need a harness to go from the factory to the alpine, correct?

Are you looking at that?

Actually, that's tha exact item that I bought. Tha face bracket fits perfectly, but tha wire connectors were wrong.

Okay, well I will see about making a post in the AV section about anyone esle installing an Alpine to their car. Perhaps someone could help us in figuring out what we need. I see tons of people that have them installed. I hope it works out. This Alpine will rock your car.

By the way, not sure if you noticed, but I also got the Apline Aux Input adapter that lets you plug anything into it, like an IPod or laptop, really sweet. I made a a faceplate for my old truck that has the rca inputs mounted on the dash, kind of like how TVs have them on the front and you just plug and go. I wasn't sure if you noticed it but I just wanted to let you know.

Edit:
Also I forgot to mention and ask you, does your head unit play MP3 CDs? I am not talking about plugging in an MP3 player, but rather burning 50 mp3s to a cs and then the player plays them off of the CD. If it does, could I get a picture of the head unit playing an MP3 from the CD to see that it displays the song title and what not. Sorry man, I just want to clarify that before taking it further. Can't wait!

I mostly listen to XM, but yeah I burn cd's and listen to them also. So far, tha only song info displayed is from certain radio stations, nothing from my burned cd-rs. Not sure if it will playback cd-rw or not.

If u can find someone else who is able to trade faster, go for it bro. I have Kenwood kdc-v6017 sitt'n in my livingroom, and a Sony cdx-c580 alrdy in bracket wait'n to install, so I'm not need'n a HU atm.

Hey I am able to wait as long as possible. I can't pass a good deal. BTW, so do you burn like 50+ songs on a cd, or like 20?

Actually, I can fit about 4-7songs per CD. But that's because I burn techno/trance remixes that are about 40min-1hr long Most other songs I can fit about 15 per CD tho. Avg of about 1-2meg each.

Okay, on 2007 models if your HU has the CAT button, it should play MP3 cds. It does not matter if it is black or silver. The MP3 capability is a 150 dollar option if not already included in your package.
