Its a fine scratch which is why it not on the car. It happened at the dealer and they bought me a new piece.

that emblem was disconintued roughly half way through the 2009 model year.

My Cobalt didn't come with one either;
I bought a scratched up trim piece with it, and added it to my car - but I was going to see what the dash piece with the crest was going to cost to buy outright.
