I want to buy the tool so i can swap pulleys its the tool that comes in the stg 2 kit I lost mine.

you talking about the "pulley puller"? ...that doesn't come from the dealership. all you get is the wrench and a couple bolts i think. what they use is the Northstar Waterpump Pulley removal tool.

btw. the nates pulley puller (from my experience) sucked ass. i was stuck without my car for three days because we were doing the install saturday, tool broke with hub half on, obviously couldn't finish the install. and the dealerships aren't open on sundays, and i had to be at work monday morning. i left the car 3 HOURS!!! from where i live and came and picked it up tuesday night....thanks nate.

and. by the sounds of it... i'm not really sure what youre talking about. are you talking about the tool to remove the bolts? or the pulley? because...you remove the bolts and simply take the pulley off.

 

The tool to remove the bolts,i went to smooth flow all they had was just some bolts that would be ok but i still have to remove the stg 2 bolts.

go by an alan key, or whatever they use on them...not like its a gm specific tool. it will just feel tough cause they put the loctite on there

step1. loosen belt
step2. unscrew bolts, remove pulley
step3. install new pulley, screw in bolts

 

No it is not the same gm put sucurity bolts on there.

the gm dealership is a bunch of dumb asses i tryed that i even took it to them they just looked at me like i was stupid. Were is your family located at in louisville? Im right across from the park on new cut.

I lost mine to , I think its called a butterfly bit , kinda looks like a philips head,
if anyone knows where to get them let us know.

 

I have the spare one. Not the one for the ratchet the other one for the screwdriver type tools.

I got it, and u can have the bolts as well.... I bought a 2.8 pulley with a hub and never used the one from GM.. let me know if u want it..
