Before you go through all that trouble and money get it tested. If it is to loud for your area then their gonna make you take it off wether it came on the car or not.

Edit- Sorry I was a little slow on the reply and didnt see that you already said you was going to do that

Good point man, I never would have thought of that, and spelling isn't my strongest point

I guess they fall in the same category as well, just that they sound a lot worse than the motorcycles.

You guys are ass holes...Im only 17 too. He asked a question not to tell him hes to young to have a car. I ve had my car for almost a year now. Its not my or anyone elses fault you have to work 2 jobs to pay for your car. Mayb you should of gone to school and got a decent job. Let alone out cars are not that expensive. There exacltly pretty averaged priced cars. If your still in school thats another story and that alright. I too have 2 jobs and am working full time and im still in high school. Its not like these cars are that that expensive. Id say our cars are like top of the line in the decent/cheap category.

But yea man your corsa shouldnt be a problem... try talking to GM about corsa and get them to tell your dad that they do distribute corsa exhausts and they are legal.

how much is your house payment?

exactly.

that's why it is so easy to afford a new ss/sc

and this argument of mine has nothing to do with money. It is maturity. IF YOU HAVE TO ASK YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION FOR MODDING YOUR CAR then you are TOO YOUNG to have a fast car!! end of story!

Argue it all you want, but try responding to a car crash call and finding 4 DOA's that hit a tree doing 110 (All under 20 yrs. old)

and that is why i am telling you that if you need mom's permission about your car, then you should be driving a taurus

FIRST i am only 17yrs old.. im sure you arent too dumb to realize at age 17 you cannot have a car registerd in your name.. you talking about YOUR house.. i.e. what if your buddy was staying at your house or somthing and he felt that it was dull and wanted to paint it.. you come home from work and your house is painted.. WTF its not his house shouldnt he have asked for permission to 'mod' YOUR house??well then shouldnt a 17yr old teenager need to ask permission to 'mod' SOMEONELSES [dads in this case] car?? plus the kid got a ticket and now his dad is oging to have to miss a day or so of work to take him to court.. id be pissed too.

You are correct. The GMPP is Borla 2.25". GM uses a custom Corsa exhaust for their Street Tuner Challenge Cobalt and I believe in the Grand Am series also.

Corsa lists the individual pieces on their website on the last page of the intall instructions. You might be able to talk to them and ask them what it would take to trade you Sport for a Touring muffler. The Touring muffler is #16CB2005.

oo that part you said about a car crash around a tree, responding to a call? hmm get that alot being a volunteer fire fighter, and also it is my dad's car since under the age of 18 i can not register a car in my name but once i finish paying the money off that i owe him, he is signing the title over to me.

Look man dont sit here and try to give me the maturity lecture because trust me we've all heard it. The fact is I'm just as mature as anyone on this site and probably more mature that a lot of people on this site.

Also if your talking about us not having experience driving and all that b/s.. Go to search and type "I wrecked my Cobalt" and tell me how many of them were under 18..

I had a car registered to me at 16. If your muffler came stock with your car I wouldnt change it. You just should need to have proof that your car came stock with that to show the police.

Get your system checked first.. Do not waste your money unless you know for sure that yours is illegal. If it is illegal yea then go for it. But im telling you to get yours checked first. Its not that big of a deal. Its not like their going to give you another ticket just because you took to get it checked. All they will tell you to do is to get it off asap.
