WTB: Aftermarket Header & DP

If you haven't been following my thread, I have a 3" CAI, 2.79" pulley and cams in my car with stock exhaust. We spent hours trying to tune but the car keeps going extremely rich and we're assuming that it's due to flow restriction at the exhaust port of my engine. High cyl temps = dumped fuel to lower temps...

So, basically, I'm looking for an aftermarket header and aftermarket downpipe...

I'm only looking for a cheap, quick fix right now so I can get my car tuned and running. Let me know if anyone is trying to part out or go turbo. Local pickup preferred but I'm pretty sure there's no one around here, so give me your prices. I'll be out in Syracuse this weekend if there's anyone from CNY that's looking to sell...

EDIT: Also... I'm looking for direct bolt-on only. I can't afford to have things professionally installed/welded.

I'm not in an SS/SC but i know that cheap quik fix is probaly not a good idea... i would say if your going to do the work do it with parts you want to keep on there, so you don't have to do it quick. Just remember you get what you pay for....

I appreciate your opinion, but I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing here. If you would have been following my situation, you would know that these cams have been a nightmare and I've invested a lot of money just to have the car running right now. I don't exactly have $500+ laying around to invest in a new quality piece. This is a "short-term" quick fix. As in I'm running it for the next year to two years until I have the money to have my guys make me my custom exhaust...

If you wait like a week i will have my pacesetter header+catless downpipe for sale if your interested?

edit never mind you would have to re-weld the downpipe to the header. It would only cost less than $50...

At this point, I'll honestly entertain any idea. I'm waiting on a quote back from my guys at RD Fabs about them making me a custom header, dp w/ cat. I came into a possible sale of some stuff off my j-body.

It's all conditional, but if the parts for for the $550 and they agree to make the header/dp for that, then I'll be going out to them. If they're within $100 I still may entertain the idea. It's all a waiting game though. I'll PM you if things fall through. Thanks for the offer...

Yeah, that's Paul, he lives right by me. I'm kinda staying away from the Vibrant because I don't really want to spend that much money and people had fitment issues. It's a gorgeous piece, but I can't afford for something to go weird and it not fit right on my car. The custom one would obviously be made precisely to fit my car, and be better than the vibrant. My guys are good!

Thanks for the heads up though!

if i were you i would give ZZPERFORMANCE's new long tube header and downpipe combo a whirl , they only want 369 for the base , 450 without cat bigger primaries and a stainless steel downpipe ,and 500 for everything, the only shittie thing is that its not ceramic coated so you would have to add another 100 , lol in the end if you get everything its pricey but not if you dont want ceramic coating

Yeah, I hear that. The custom one from RD Fabs would be full stainless steel, not that mild **** that has to be coated, lol. To make theirs 304 it would cost me close to $600, not to mention I have to pay shipping and install. RD Fabs would be custom made for my car installed for $550-$600...

Just a suggestion.......Why don't you buy a pacesetter for around 170 shipped, and the bolt on down pipe from exhaust depot for 225 shipped. For around $395, you'll have nice set-up. I have it right now, it's all bolt on. By the way, I got both items within 1 week When I ordered them. I posted a video on it along with the GMPP exhaust.
