Best bet on brake stuff is always buy new, unless it's hardcore track stuff or something impossible to find. You don't want used pads/rotors that weren't properly broken in, and the money you save isn't going to be much anyway. New pads are like $65 per axle, rotors are under $100 a wheel unless you get carried away.

I understand the concern and trust me its a big issue, however if is someone that is looking to get rid of a set then I would rather buy from them rather than a company. In reality, it works out well, I help them out by taking parts they dont want/need and I will hopefull get a better price than buying "new" from a company.
