Stock plastic ring for shift boot. (the plastic that's stapled to the boot) I kinda broke mine... don't ask how...

 

you can't buy that one piece, afaik. you need to buy a whole new boot. i have this happen to me, as well. you have an after market boot right? you might have to buy a whole new boot to get that plastic ring. or maybe someone has an extra one lying around....

i think i paid like 14.99 for mine?

 

blah.. well anyone have and extra JUST the plastic piece? That's not too bad for a new boot. Prob worth it to just buy a new 1... but if anyone has an extra one, that'll be great.

Had the same thing happen to mine. Went to the dealership, got it replaced under warranty. I'd try that first.

 

what did you say your excuse was for breaking it i don't want em to void warranty cause of an aftermarket boot

 

put the stocker back while you go up there.

I have an 08 ls coupe with 850 miles so you know it's brand new.

 

put the stock boot back IMO...the blue one u have doesnt match anything inside the car and it looks awkward

 

I just told them the damn thing broke when I downshifted. It's a VERY common problem, apparently, because mine took 2 weeks to come in. Also, you don't get just the ring. You get the whole boot, ring, and the ring on top that holds the shifter to the boot. If you can't get it warrantied, expect to pay around 41 bucks.
