wtt saab intake mani
The SAAB and the 2.0 SC manifolds use the same gasket -- the PCV hole is well above the centerline of the intake ports.
2.2 and 2.4 the PCV hole is just above the centerline of the intake ports.
To use either the SAAB or the LSJ 2.0 manifold on a 2.2/2.4 you have to modify (cut) the gasket. How-to is shown in the Ecotec power book.

its probably advantageous to use in a turbo setup. its would be stronger than the stock plactic manifold and more durible, and it being metal you would be able to port and polish it as well for increased airflow. dont quote me on this or anything tho, im just beginning to learn about these things
its advantageous for both. u can port/polish it and still run the turbo. honestly i was thinkin of picking something like this up if/when i turbo since it can handle more boost than our shitty plastic ones
By the way you probably meant to say the 9-3, but for anyone looking to swap or use parts that's important to remember. The Saab 9-3 family uses a variant of the Ecotec while the turbocharged Saab 9-5 does not use an Ecotec. That engine is a Saab-developed 2.3L Ecopower that dates back a couple decades. The high-output 2.3L B235 version used in the 260hp 9-5 shares nothing with the Ecotec.
Even the 9-3 ecotec manifold (which is what appears to be pictured) is NOT a bolt-on item. There is a lot of minor things to adjust/devise/rig to make it work. I have not seen anybody finish installing one and driving with it. There was a thread in the J-body forums where a Cavy/ecotec owner was attempting to install one but I don't think he finished it.
