I wouldnt call that a fair comparison...
I really appreciate the nice posts and all the knowledge you bring this place but remember it wasnt too long ago the boys on youre forum were boasting about how they cant wait to roast an SC on the road. Well, here's to tryin' Wah Wah Wahhh

That kind of statement bugs me. I have had the same thing said to me in real life.. "Well, your supercharged blah blah blah its not fair", and I usually respoind with "Then why the hell did you lin eup and rev and get all ricy then?" If you line up to race and get served, dont whine and cry that it wasnt fair. As for the streetrace factor in this vid, its f all, no big deal. People relax.

I have a Mazda 3 Sport 5 door and its an awesome car. I wish I could make one car out of both my SC and the 3. They both have stuff the other lacks. I know some MSP boys and at first they talked crap, now, they dont......

I had a chance to talk to Juan once from hi boost. Great guy and makes a solid kit for the 3 and the MSP. I was a hair away from buying one but he wouldnt be up here to install it for me in the time I needed it.

MSP are nice beginner turbo cars, but the turbo kit and internals on that car, as well as the tranny are marginal at best. For a FI car with "MAzdaSpeed" on it, its a letdown if you ask me

Back on topic:

Nice kill.
I pointed it out to educate the less knowledgable. That was by far not the safest situation possible for that race. Why go 130 if your car doesn't trap 100? I am just educating. I do apologize for being harsh at first, but I get sick of people saying street racing is dumb and then I regretfully have to agree when 14 second cars go to 130, with traffic, on a turn. Just be smarter when street racing is my only point.

Hey no argument there, it was more directed to other comments w/ no explanation just a "dude your stupid" or along those lines.

Good thing, I erased what I originally wrote then. Because I definently mis-interpreted that. Thanks.

I remember that thread, and all the people challenging the SS/SC were all modded and running a lot more than 5.5-6.5 stock psi.

happy modding

where do you get 17psi from? that engine cant handle that much boost, rods start spitting out the side of the block after 8 psi, good luck.

EXACTLY, almost everyone throwing up a challenge had a modded msp.

Built engine block with supporting mods and fuel (EDIT:ENGINE) management. 17 psi no problem. Only problem is the T25 is not efficient at 17psi.

All it would do is turn into a 10-20 page pissing contest.

yeah I know thats why its kinda not worth it. But I love running my car repping the cobalt . **** I know a guy around here back when i was stock we where just about dead even he had a lot of supporting mods no motor work though. That "lot of little" stuff adds up quick on those cars makes them pretty decent.

and then they blow up...lol

they are very good cars handling wise ...however modding is not a strong point for them. The MSP was more of an afterthought and is good all things considered, but not really a contender for a CSS/SC

Is that your answer to all???? You say it here, you say it there, what's your point??? The stock fuel control, rods, pistons and a lot of other **** sucks. But all that stuff CAN be built!!! Hence, no boom!

You say everyone was acting so tough over in that post. The one I saw acting the "toughest" was you!

Edit: I saw you edited your post c7015. Sorry for the rant. All engines can blow, all transmissions and clutches can go. It's just a matter of what all people do to their cars. Most people just buy the manual boost controller and crank it up, and well...boom.

Yep, they are very good in handling. Actually, the car wasn't that much of an afterthought. Calloway had some really good **** on there until Mazda decided they wanted to cut the cheese on it. The original that Calloway had some nice stuff on it! Not sure if they built up the motor on the prototype though.
