It's not the body! It's the lens.

Fixed,

I feel my body is holding my back though, plus I dont like that the AF is in the lens and not the body

well you're still using the standard lens! haha. I don't know too much about Nikon but I'm assuming the d7000 is equivalent to the 60D. It's great to have those bonus features and that top mount lcd is great...but my next body will definitely be a full frame, and not another crop sensor. I feel as if even with the d7000, it's like maybe going from freshmen to senior, but at the end of the day; you're still in highschool y'know?

how do you like the fixed 30? I love my 50 but I feel like I gotta be a mile away sometimes.

Also there just aren't that many people on here to have enough that are good photographers. People aren't also willing to pay someone to do a photo shoot. Hell i am not that good but anyone that wants to be in the calendar next year Ill gladly shoot there car just buy me a 6 pack.

Depth of field in a 50 for portraiture is uncanny,

jordan post up some of the reallllllll good ones that didnt make it haha, we had 4 people choose 25 and ones that we all agreed on were entered.

and i love the 30 dont even use my 18-55 anymore, thats why i try to encourage people not to get the 50 way too zoomed in for me, still a good lens though.

oh yeah its on my camera almost all the time. The only time I use my kit lens is for rolling shots. I also have a 55-250 cannon which is nice for panning shots. im looking at the sigma 30 f/1.4 as we speak

Well I live in Montreal -I've had a seasons pass at St Sauveur/Avila for the last 4 years now. This year, their inaugural 10 year park is going to be off the charts. Avila is reknown for being the best park in the Quebec region. If you're big on powder, and the season allows us, I would highly recommend hitting Sutton. Beautiful hill, just a little far from my house for a season-pass. And if you want pure size, you can hit Tremblant, Bromont or Le Massif but they are all 2-3 hours away; Massif being slightly more.

That's the 11-16mm lens I have! It's unbelievably crisp. Wide angle > zoom hahaa. I'm big on action shots and getting up close and this lens is just splendid.

The way we did it was we each picked a top 25. Those with the most votes got it. Some we agreed on, some we did not. That was the easiest way to do it without bickering. I disagree with several of the photos that made the final cut, sometimes 3 to one, but we tried to give everyone a fair voice.

Could be worse. We could do what I've seen other sites do and just decide the final 12 without any community input.

Who honestly cares that much. I don't. You don't like the choices don't buy the calendar. You like other ones that were submitted? Right click save them and make your own at cafepress. Done.
