So anyone who was in last year's calender can't enter this year? Not even with a different pic or something? That kinda sucks because a lot of those cars from last year were badass and they are owned by guys who consistently take beautiful photos.

I know that the proceeds are very very small because the place that makes the calenders charges a ton but is a percentage of the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project again this year?

Thanks.

Pedobear 09-30-2012 09:50 PM

thats good tho there are more than 12 good looking rides on CSS

matt638 09-30-2012 09:51 PM

sjc0013 09-30-2012 09:53 PM

We want to give as many people as possible a chance to be in the calender. We don't want to see the same cars in it year after year. This has been a rule that has been in place since we started it 2 years ago.

As far as I know the funds will be going to the same place they went to last year, however I'm not entirely certain, as I don't have any control over our Cafepress account. One of our site admins would have to confirm that.

Only problem is that I have no idea what the correct dimensions are, all we really do is hand over the final entries to an admin to throw them into the cafepress site to make the calendar. Maybe we can persuade someone at IB or whoever is gonna throw this together to crop the photos a bit to make them fit.

Professional..

1LSJ2NV 09-30-2012 10:14 PM

Can I enter in someone elses car then? lol I just want to show these people how to actually take photos and maybe they can get the hint that you have to actually take your time and get the right shot.

This community is the worst with photos and knowledge on what actually looks good. I could take a pic of my dick and blur it and they would say it was a 10/10

I don't know because as I said earlier, I don't have any control over the site's cafepress account. I've put in a request with the admins to see if we can get whoever submits the final photos to crop them down to size to fit correctly, but we'll see what happens.

StruttinSoul 09-30-2012 10:24 PM

dfdskfdsj or this one..

Agreed Nate. I understand that everyone cant spend a lot on a camera but they could at least attempt a nice picture. Some of these pictures I'm just like wtf am I looking at.

1LSJ2NV 09-30-2012 10:53 PM

Oh you mean like people that constantly use auto mode and autofocus? Or people that cut off vital body lines before they end or at the wrong spot?

I agree that some of these photos aren't spectacular but don't go running your mouth about photography. I'm not perfect either but you don't see me being a jack ass to people that are honestly trying their best.

Here's some notes.
In this photo, go to the edge of the doors, don't just cut it off before the door line ends, it looks horrible and incomplete.
https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8148/...74130006_b.jpg

If you're going to cut the car in half, at least make sure you're down the middle of the car, get the bowtie in there or at least half of the bowtie, it'll look more even.
https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8151/...731eba1a_b.jpg

What happened here? What's so spectacular behind the car that the car couldn't be centered horizontally?
https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8015/...10493d84_b.jpg

and again..
https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8289/...8316f9c4_b.jpg

Bad color balance.
https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5334/...24e59b22_b.jpg

Again, what's so important behind the car that this couldn't be centered?

Automatic Mode fail you??
