Your taking photos that I dont even post and criticize them which is fine since all of those I came and asked help about anyway. Your the one being a dick about this. I didnt call anyone out, I said it multiple threads about Instagram submissions.

 

lol goddamn. All I really wanted to say was if people post and say "not the best but I'll post it anyway" then why post? It's not like the deadline is tomorrow. You have a whole damn month to take a single nice photo. Not trying to offend anyone here at all.

 

People dont take pride in what they do, Your not going to take a shotty pic of your kid so why do it to a car. I like yours and Micheal's photos on here, you guys actually go out and practice and work with the surround area.

 

I guess my wrecked hood and bumper from the deer a while back wont get me picked...

Thank you Mark! This is exactly what I'm trying to say, if you're going to pick apart peoples photos they're going to get mad/depressed about it and just stop posting them. I however encourage anyone to post their photos, I don't care if it's a friggen cell phone picture like the one below, if they're proud of it they deserve to be able to post it without feeling bad.

i'm not taking sides or anything but if people are going to be getting all butt hurt just because someone criticizes a picture...then there's other issues and really, people should be learning from the negative rather then using it as a crutch.

i get told i take great pictures by alot of people. then i specifically go to other people and ask their opinions because they will tell me all sorts of stuff that i did wrong with the pictures...i learn from it and try and adjust for next time.

now granted not everyone has a DSLR but phones these days take suprisingly good pictures, same as point and shoots.

 

I agree but I think it all got twisted to believe nobody should post anything. Thats not what I was saying, Stuff like COTM,special events/contest there should be no horrible photos being submitted and allowed to vote. Thats why we have other threads for that, Look at the "cool pictures of your car" thread. Its now filled with random photos where you cant even see the damn car most of the time. That was all that I was trying to say lol

 

i find it funny coz even if i was to enter i have amazing shots of both cars, and of others too... i have a pic of sylvers car that is amazing.... i am really not sure which pic i would choose..... but whats the sense of entering my pathetic pics..... they are surely not professionally done....

you guys do realize that the definition of a professional is someone who gets paid to perform a service....and i've seen alot of "professional" photographers who suck *****...then you got the kid with a point and shoot who take amazing pics...the imagination and creativity of the photographer makes up half the image

agreed, I dont even call myself a photographer. All I did was pick it up as a hobby and I thought if I have to pay someone to take photos I might as well try it myself and have fun with it. Again not saying everyone shouldnt post pics but our community really sticks out on not having good quality pics of cars. There is only a good handful that can and do and that is why I personally like to post them on Cobalt Nation to let people see the possibilities.

 

anyone and everyone is a photographer...all you need to do is pick up the camera....
