2JZ Solstice Build
Figured I'd post this on here...
Got bored.. Yanked my LNF... Dropped thingy in...
Pretty sure it's the world first solstice 2jz swap.
ghetto leanin'
swapped these
rear sump clears the crossmember so well
then attached stuff
so big
then did a tranny
then used a forklift to put that...
...in here
like this
then tom ground some stuff
... stood up here and pointed at stuff
and then the 2jz was in
and the peasents rejoice
gone well..

Everything major bolted up, torqued down, and dropped in. Transmission transmission's. Driveshaft driveshaft's. Clutch clutches. Mount's mount. Thing's thing.
titan sent some stuff
bumper got mounted
tom mocked up the intake manifold...
...then welded a series of tubes together
and hi 4 inch downpipe
Also, we cut off the top power steering bung, welded the hole up, and relocated it to the front to maintain power steering in the swap. Also, gound the stock mount's down some, welded on some plates and slapped the mounts on again. I'll get pics of that later.
Another neat thing, the heater core hoses line up perfectly and are just the right shape to plug RIGHT into the 2JZ.
None of this would have been possible without the masterful fabrication of Tom at Ontario Mandrel.
Build Recap:
2JZGE
Borg Warner S372
AEM v2 EMS
Precision 1000cc injectors
Stock Aisin AR5 transmission mated to the jz via a 1JZ bellhousing.
Custom Spec Stage 5 Clutch
LS Coils
etc
going for 650-750 at the wheels conservatively on pumpgas... with plenty of headroom to go with racegas... should be fun! ^_^
