3d model of Cobalt

I am looking for a 3d model of a Cobalt.

I am looking to try out some paint ideas, but For what I am looking to accomplish, Photoshop isn't really going to cut it.

I am looking for a 3d model of a cobalt (an SS would be even better) in ANY format.

Thanks in advance for those that try to help.

Point taken, but I'm looking for something that I
can import into Maya.

I'm not just looking to do paint
options, but body mods as well.
I have the ability to work with the model on my pc, but
am getting lazy in my old age in trying to avoid
reinventing the wheel.

I should have worded my question differently, sorry.

nah I knew what you were asking for, but I don't know if I've ever seen/heard about any 3D renderings of the Cobalt.

Forza was the only thing that came to mind that really lets you get a good 3D visual of paint schemes.

Good luck!

I'm sure some geek at GMHQ has some, but I doubt he's going to share

model

I found a couple, but they are around 150 bucks. (for the model)

I'm looking to do some pretty crazy stuff with my SS, crazy enough to
want a rough idea what it will look like before I start modifying.

I plan on trying out various wings(probably would work in Forza 2)

but I also plan on trying out canards and wheel colors that Forza 2 might not have.

Who is supplying the model?
Format?

I'd wonder how detailed it is for $150.

sorry guys, I'll get some up. (links)

I don't think they are CAD quality, which is what
makes the price unjustifiable, in my opinion.

Okay, so maybe I lied, a couple of them are only like $120.

I'm not looking for MORE gaudy, I'm looking for EQUALLY gaudy but DIFFERENT.

LOL

Actually, I'm going to be powdercoating my wheels myself and I want to try out some odd ideas. And Powdercoat is a "itch to get off if you don't like it.

Turbosquid FTW!
They do good work... and they supply a 3DS Max file... so it's defiantly good quality.
I wonder if they modeled the under hood though.

I checked on TS about the details. They only have the interior modeled on the LS/LT trim. The SS is the exterior only. None have the engine bay modeled.

After I finish my next project, I might tackle the task of buying both models, combining them, and modeling the engine bay. Might be a nice winter project.

I don't think so, they usually just model the exterior to use in commercials or to blow up in movies.

(Not the 'balts, but the Toyotas, heheheh)

If I had the exterior, I could whip up the engine compartment.

what program do you use, Omega?

3DS Max usually... but sometimes Maya, as they're both Autodesk owned..
The beauty is that I can import my Inventor/Solidworks part into 3DS, and vise-versa... so it makes the design process that much quicker.

BTW... it looks like the '08 model SS has an interior modeled. If someone wants to email the guy who did it and ask, his email is saleel_1@yahoo.com

Nice to have those toys at your disposal.

I've used Cinema 4dxl in the past, but I've since moved to Blender.

I'm more into the special effects/artwork pipeline than the production/CAD side
of things.

Try searching for a torrent file. Some of the 3DS guys share models over forums in torrent format.
