400rwhp Z06 gets beat by a truck!
The truck has nitrous and has 1600lbfeet of torque!
and the Z has h/c and exhaust. The truck has trapped in as high as 116 on slicks and isnt even 4wd.

haha sweet, i wanted a duramax too but cant aford one...yet....my uncle has one, 4x4, lifed up on 37" tires 20" rims, 2 chips, intake, exhaust, i think he said it has abt 500hp and 900ft lbs.... not as fast as that truck but my uncles truck can go anywhere, i havent raced him with my cobalt but i drove his truck a few times and im sure it could take a stock ss/sc easily

probally not nitrous, nitrous is useless on diesels, its probally propane injection. propane is like nos for diesels, some kits can add anywhere from 100-800hp and 100-1000ft lbs.

NOT THAT IT'S USELESS ON A TRUCK IT'S JUST USELESS ON A DIESEL TRUCK. AS FOR THE WHOLE NO 4WD THING I WOULD BE WILLING TO BET THAT THE OWNER REMOVED THE TRANSFER CASE TO DECREASE THE AMOUNT OF POWER LOST THRU THE DRIVETRAIN. THAT'S A 2500 HD AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE OF THOSE WITHOUT 4WD. BUT EITHER WAS THAT THING WAS BAD ASS!! IF I HAD A TRUCK IT WOULD WITHER BE A 2500 HD WITH A DURAMAX LIKE IN THE VIDEO OR A DODGE RAM 2500 WITH THE CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL. BOTH BAD ASS TRUCKS!!!
hmmm well ill have to look into that, i could be wrong, just everyone ive talk to says it is useless, but propane injection u can get hugh amount of power from....well im gonna go do some reseach cause ive never heard of that, ill get back to you when i find something out.... where did it say he uses nitrous??

Nitrous oxide has another effect that improves performance even more. When it vaporizes, nitrous oxide provides a significant cooling effect on the intake air. When you reduce the intake air temperature, you increase the air's density, and this provides even more oxygen inside the cylinder.
The only problem with nitrous oxide is that it is fairly bulky, and the engine needs a lot of it. Like any gas, it takes up a fair amount of space even when compressed into a liquid. A 5-liter engine running at 4,000 rotations per minute (rpm) consumes about 10,000 liters of air every minute (compared to about 0.2 liters of gasoline), so it would take a tremendous amount of nitrous oxide to run a car continuously. Therefore, a car normally carries only a few minutes of nitrous oxide, and the driver uses it very selectively by pushing a button.
THEY BOTH WORK. sorry i was wrong, the best thing about nitrous is it decreses EGT in a diesel. diesels aslo make alot of power by overfueling, thats why you see lots of black smoke, by adding nitrous it leans it out a bit more, but still making more power, where propane is like adding even more fuel, and it also acts as a "catalyst" when added to diesel making it burn almost 100% of the fuel as oppose to about 75% so yes they both add power, but just look at the price differance between both, but yeah i guess its personal preferance. maybe you can use both???? i dont see why not....

I was reading that you could also add propane injection to FI gasoline engines to increase the octane and reduce knock. That would allow for more boost and more timing.

there is an air force captain in town here thats running propane and nitrous with a full bully dog setup in his f250 long bed. im working on chipping my moms f350. shes got the old school 7.3 powerstroke. the new 6.0's are garbage. alot of people will be trading up to the 6.4
