Acey finally has a Cobalt

Shitty pics, I had to run to the bank to get the check to pay for it, took these as I was heading out. Better ones Monday when I pick it up.

With my beloved Z24 in the reflection... always miss your first car, right?

'07, 5-speed, only 8,700 miles on it. No 6-disc, leather, sunroof, or On-Star but I can live without. I was gunning for an SC... but my dad was willing to help subsidize a little bit if I settled for a 2.4.

Now I actually have a reason to be here!

So this is my second car, and my Cav is auto. Took it for a rip with the sales guy, was doing fine till I tried launching in third and stalled 3 times before I figured it out. I'll learn soon enough.

Trust me just because it's not a SS/SC or TC doesn't mean it can't be a beast! Love the color.

Yeah considering I have minimal experience with stick I think I did okay... just going from 2nd to 3rd I kept going to 5th, and of course the time I tried launching in third. But the actual motion of starting the car wasn't as hard as I thought providing I was in first. Thanks guys - the colour really is awesome; I was thinking about black, white, and yellow and not at all about this colour cause there's not many of them, but I'm glad I got it.

I'll debadge Monday when I get the car. Plan is to take the dealer badge and "Cobalt SS" off the back but leave the bowtie and the SS on the doors. Modding isn't not a real high priority though because I start university in the fall and my insurance is disgustingly high... so there's no room for big mods.

Price was high. With the trade in of my '01 Z24 with 195,000 km I talked them down to just under $16k all said and done, this is Canadian of course. That's about what they're going for at dealers and there are virtually none for private sale in my city. There's some in Calgary but I'd need my dad to come with me and it's just a hassle cause we're both really busy.

My 1st ultimate goal was to build a badass N/A 2.2 Cavalier from 04 or 05, but then I thought about getting a 2.4 and doing a badass N/A build. But then I found out about the SS/TC coming out and waited. I do love that color and I know you'll love the car, Congrats!!

i had a base model 2.2 in that color... you will find out quickly that the color of car blends in with the road quite nicely.

I hate you Canadians and your ability to get all the cool colors in the 2.4SS trim, lol.

I hate you Americans and your ability to get Cobalts for not-ridiculous prices.

Nice car but price seems high, a year ago i got my 07 for 15k and im in canada. Out here they are now selling for about 13k asking, but prices might be higher in alberta.

You love the car though, besides the color, its identical to mine as far as options go, no 6 disk, no leather and no sunroof, just like mine lol

Also you said 8700 miles.. is it a U.S import? Usually they sell for even cheaper
