The color looks even better in person. Yeah, slow 1.4 turbo it shall be.
Thanks, to be honest I don't like the Sonics.
Thanks man! I was going to buy another Cobalt for a daily and this kinda just happened instead lol

Dat MPG though.
It's probably a good idea to buy something you know you won't dump a lot of money into now that I think about it...I'd love to have another lsj or a lnf sedan but then I'd have 2 money pits

Thanks man! It's replacing my first car, a 2002 Monte Carlo LS.
My thoughts exactly lol
Because I don't want all those miles on it.
You'd be surprised how many people don't DD their LNFs and LSJs.

i bought my LNF thinking it would be a great daily with a bit of power. now its my moneypit, turbo swapped, fully bolted hardly driven car and i am still using my crappy ford focus as a daily

Lol i could buy a 5k car right now if i wanted but ill rather have money for a rainy day. And yup a hatchback would be great
Lol I wasn't even in the market to buy my cobalt, I was looking for a 350z or a camaro. Did a lot of looking and somehow wound up in the balt. I've driven the 350z and a camaro....but when I saw my cobalt on the lot and decided to take it for a ride....she gave me the biggest smile in the world. I'll admit I have a love hate relationship with mine, I hate that it's cheap, I hate that it's FWD, that she breaks a lot, but at the same time I can't see myself getting rid of it. I absolutely love this car and when shes working right it's a total blast to drive, I'm even toying with the thought of turbo'ing it, shes on a tvs now
And I don't know why...people always talk to me about this car. Not about the recalls and stuff but they want to know what it is. It's almost like they are baffled a cobalt could be nice

Good to see there are plenty of people here who love their Cobalts as much as I do, which I guess shouldn't be surprising since it is a Cobalt forum.
I'm also one of the people who would gladly stop DD the Cobalt just to keep miles off it. I've contemplated buying a different car to DD, but I just can't afford to currently. I do use my wife's Toyota Matrix pretty often, though.
I'm aware my Cobalt with 121,500+ miles and counting isn't worth much, but the monetary value isn't as important to me as the sentimental value.
Congrats on the Cruze, bmartz. Keep that Cobalt looking pristine!

It's better than my current daily, a 2008 Ford Ranger FX4.... the mileage in that thing sucks thanks to the factory 4.10 gears
But, it has been a godsend since the motor blew in my cobalt... and now with the rain and flooding in Texas where I live, it is nice to have some decent ground clearance.

^You asked why more people don't daily their Cobalts, and he answered, "Because of the other idiots on the road..." I think he's letting you know that's a reason why some people here don't daily their Cobalts. There are too many idiots out there, and these fine CSS members don't want their beloved cars to get damaged.
To answer you myself:
Some of these folks don't DD their Cobalts because they've grown attached to them. They want the cars to last as long as possible. Less driving = less stress on engine = longer lasting car.
