Im looking into buying a camera, whats the best kind to buy thats not going to destroy my bank

im in for suggestions too. i got a free camera from my aunt,its like 16.1 Megapixels and it does take decent pictures for a small camera but i want more better/cleaner/crystal effin clear pictures.
