Car hit by fireworks last night!
NOW WITH PICS...
Nieghbor appologized for damage said he'd pay to have the scratches buffed out. Poll is now moot.
Well the detailing lasted one day, then last night the nieghbors accross the street were shooting off fireworks and it got hit. Talking nice to them didn't work and I had to call the police who almost locked them all up cause of how drunk they all were and trying to start fights with the cops!!!!!!
So should I let the 2 scratches on my car slide? Ones on the roof and is about an inch and a half long. The one on the hood is about 5 individual scratches each about an inch long. Or should I make them pay to have it buffed out? Now making them pay will probly involve sueing them in small claims court and in which case it'd be a slam dunk win for me seeing I have the remains of the rockets and they were the only ones for 3 blocks shooting them off.
So let it go and try to buff it out myself, or sue the nieghbors?
Fireworks......
House behind my car were they came from......
Where damage is on the hood...... Keep in mind I was able to buff some of it out. But I can still see it.
Better shots of hood.....
And where the damage is on the roof.......
Better shots of roof.......

Go and talk to them now that they are sick and hung-over and tell them you'd like for them to pay $xxx.xx to have your car buffed out...If they say **** you, no or whatever then tell them you'd rather not take this to court have have them end up paying more.

I would try to talk to them again once they are sober and explain everything to them. If they are rude though and still refuse to pay for the damages then go ahead and sue them :0)

Actually I would try to buff them out myself first, then if that fails, ask them to pay or take them to small claims. Just get a copy of the police report (its public record) first. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

Yes myself AND the police witnessed them shoot them off and felt the crap rain down in us while we standing next to my car.

dude it sounds like you need to move I would try buffing it myself if that didnt work then take them to court. I was cutting my grass about a month ago and heard a noise from the mower. Well the next day my ******* of a neighbor came over and said i dinged his charger v6 base model turd, with a rock. So i go over and look at it and it was a small ding. He was like see this is what you did. then he points a few inches over and said its easy to do ive done it before. When he said that i was like yea im not paying for something that ur ass probably did

I'd say talk to them sober and try to negotiate a price, then buff the scratches out yourself. If they dont want to cooperate, then threaten them saying you are gonna take them to court and that you have witnesses and stuff. Yet, it would be a hassle taking them to court. You're gonna be ending up with Judge Mathis

Well he just came over and appologized to me, my wife and my family and tld me he'd pay for any damages caused by them last night. He actualy cried while he was appologizing!
So I guess the poll is moot now.
Kept breaking down, had to sell it.

Well at least he apologized and and offered to pay for the damages. My recaro seat has a slight burn in it from a cinder off a firework last year because I left my sunroof open while I went in the house for something. I was pretty pissed, but that sort of **** happens every now and then.
