Rent one from the local auto parts store... They loan them out for free... Just be sure to get the strut spring compressor and not the coil spring compressor

My dad has one on his Benz (also black) and it's gone an entire year in Chicago traffic without a rock chip. Needless to say, I was impressed.

Here is my 2006 SS/SC. It is stock for the most part. I've painted the headlight housings, as well as the eye lid. I added the SS emblem on the front, painted my stock wheels a custom black with silver pinstripe. I also debadged the trunk and added the large SS emblem. I also painted my taillights black. At one point I had the "grilles" in the rear bumper painted the same silver as my brake calipers, but the paint didn't stick well because it already came off. I'll redo them at some point.
