Dude i have a ton of import friends that have these, I knew what they were as soon as i saw them. They are nice wheels.....but....I think it will be a safe bet you'll be the ONLY person with them on a Cobalt for a long, long time. They cost a small fortune to be imported to the U.S. Far more than it's worth to put rims on any Cobalt, but they look so good.

You shouldn't get mad that people know, on the west coast Kei's are really popular with the import crowd. You should be happy the car looks amazing and original man, and i KNOW you had to work to get those rims, so you should be proud the sacrifice paid off in a great set of wheels that probably nobody else would have the patience and $$$ to get imported here.

Something to consider. Toyota made an exclusive body kit for the Cavalier Z24 through TRD. Anyone could've had it imported here and put on their Z24 at any time over the course of the 3rd gen J-bodies production time (nearly a decade). Only one guy pulled the trigger, put up with customs, currency exchanges, shipping charges. And his Z24 was legendary for being so original and one-of-a-kind. After everyone drooling over his car you'd think tons of people would do it too.........but they didn't. Just too much work. Don't take down your pictures, it's a nice car. I'm just saying nothing stays original forever, but the harder you have to work for it, the longer you can be assured you won't be copied.

i know they are popular on other cars and imports. and like you said they were a friggin hassle to get here... but i was strategic as to when i bought them. i paid close attention to the currency exchange rate. i waited till the value of a british pound went down a little before i pulled the trigger so to speak. ive been eyeballin them for a long time just hoping no one would find them and just waiting for the right time. the price wasnt really toooo god awful bad but it was still tough spending the coin. i talked a dude from england for like 3 weeks tryin to get him to send them over the pond. he finally agreed which was sweet. and out of the 10 or so companies that i found that carried these wheels in our lug pattern he was the only one who agreed to shipping em here. and yea it was like pulling teeth. he didnt offer international shipping but he hooked me up. and for the record they are matte grey. i almost got the hyper blacks but i wasnt sure how they would look. i figured matte grey looks sick no matter what its on.

Hopefully we won't have anymore snow down here. Else, I might need to invest in some winter tires... right before spring
