Yep, the video system that runs your plates while going down the road. Even at 100Km.
This one in particular is in BC.

As long as they use it to catch people breaking the law, I am happy.

You'll hate it when it catches you with expired tags.

But you'll love it when it helps apprehend the fool that stole your car.

Double edged sword.

I actually had the privledge of riding in the vehicle equipped with it.

It's ******* amazing how much proccessing power and accuracy it has.

Before you can blink it can read your plates

I am sure he refers to the derogatory name you used.

Ah. Well, as soon as I meet a cop who does something besides profile me because of the car I drive, I will gladly recind my statement.

I don't really see how this gets abused. It is to look for "law breakers" and just like survallience camera's the only people who should worry are those breaking the law.
Yes that law maybe simple as having out of date tags, but that is still a law and if someone drives their car, getting caught just got a lot easier.

True, I guess I just feel like there are more important issues that we have to deal with than taking pictures of expired tags and hundreds of innocent license plates.

god some of you kids are pathetic.
You want to be safe and protected from the mean things in the world.
but when it comes to it, you dont want the law applied to you.

I think this is brilliant.

and to all the guys saying "double edged sword" or " youll hate it when they catch you"

well uh.....if you do the right thing.....you wont ever have to worry about this doing anything other than protecting YOU from the ******** in the world.
If you happen to be one of the ******** that this catches?
great. cuz its still doing its job

And just so people don't get the wrong idea, I am not a squeaky clean old fart. I have had my days, in the back of a police car and in court.

I'm not talking about breaking the law. I'm not talking about speeding, tags, tint, any of that. I'm talking about driving down the road following the speed limit and being followed for miles because I'm a young kid in a nice car. **** that.
