CobaltSS.net Photography Thread 2007

This is the thread where cobaltss.net members should post their artistic photos for the year. Any is subject allowed. Post your camera model and as many settings as you can remember for each shot. Advanced users help out and critique others so we can all improve. Also, this can be a good thread for those camera shopping.

I just bought this Sony DSC-H2 recently. It's pretty much everything I was looking for in a camera without the DSLR price tag.

DSC-H2

iso 100, shutter ?, fstop ?

iso 100, shutter ?, fstop ?

iso 100, shutter ?, fstop ?

iso 1000, shutter 1.3 probably, fstop ?

my baby :p

iso 100, shutter ?, fstop ?

I'll start to remember my settings from now on.

you dont need to remember the settings ... each image shows the attributes of the shot taken ... right click the image > properties > and select the advanced summary

im sure it was just the camera. you need a good image stabilizer or a tripod to get those kinda results in low light a high iso can help but gives you noisy images if set to high

Just the camera! I'm a total newb to digital photography, I've been reading books every day learning about aperture and what not. For those night photos I had the camera on a tripod and had the camera set to a slower shutter speed and larger aperture to soak in the light. The only editing done in photoshop was brightness adjustments and reduced the size substantially.

just don't get fooled into buying a camera with a huge mega pixel rating. nearly all dslr cams have a mega pixel rating which they can NEVER use because of the slr cams themselves, you would have to go superpro to get any use out of something with a huge mp rating. luminous-landscape had a good article about it but their site is down i will try and post a link sometime

Here's some random pics I pieced together. Nothing too spectacular.

The pictures will be discribed, then there will be a number next to it. 1 signifies my old Nikon camera. I think it was an A80? It was from like 3 years ago. lol. Then, 2 signifies my new camera; Olympus SP-510UZ. All pics are taken at 1024 dimensions.

The center cap of my wheels on the GP. 2.

My old Accord. Workin' the walkway by my house. 1.

My Monte. A variation of this pic was used in a Monte calender. The rear end shot. I liked this one better. 1.

The Coby. Just chillin'. 2.

Engine cover of my uncles '64 Cobra. I know, it's a Ford. But it's badass. 1.

My Grandpas SSR chillin' at the drive-in too. 1.

That's all for now. lol. Please don't hate too bad.
