Coilovers: Check

Heres a tease. Not all the way down but will be soon. Lost my wheel key so I will lower it more once I get another.

Wow, those rims. . . well, they're different. Drop looks good though, do they ride as rough as most people say?

Megan racing, but I have like 5-6 threads or so in the front so like quarter of an inch, and thats with all the locking rings in. Rears are all the way down with locking rings in but its not hard to take one out or both out Ill update the thread once I lower it more and take proper pics. Exhaust, tune, and rims are next on the list.

I want to get XXR 962 in all black with red lip. 17x9 +35. My rims are 17x7 +40 and even a 5mm spacer is not going to really make them that flush. Maybe on the rear. However I have found a set of Rota Grids in 4x100 made for BMW e30's thats 17x8 +20. The older BMW share the 4x100 and 57.1mm hub diameter so its perfect fit I just need more monies. I can always get spacers and see though, but Im not sure how good it will be still.

Also the coilovers ride pretty good for being this low. A lot of my friends didnt really notice that much of a difference over stock when I took them for a ride.

I think a 10mm spacer would make them flush in the front and maybe a 5-6mm spacer in the rear.

looks good though...now boost it

Everyone says you shouldnt do more than 5mm on these studs and I believe that. If I could get away with a 10mm I may consider keeping them but the studs GM uses are cheap and crappy. I dont want to risk it. As far as boost, its not going to happen anytime soon. Im going to start college soon so I dont know how much Ill have to spend on parts and cant risk losing the little reliability it has.

Those are good for five luggers. I can find ones for BMW/VW in 4x100 on ebay with the 57.1 CB that I need for around 40 or 45 shipped, and they look just like those. I dont know anyone personally but the wheel studs on my car are all corroded already and its only like 5 years old. My 98 civic had studs in better shape and they were all original. Ill pick up the 5mm sooner or later but the next project is painting my valve cover

I have a base so its all Low and Slow for me. Speed is not that big of an issue for me, Id rather spend the time making it look perfect then go like stink. Im not trying to make it an SS or fast as ****, as long as it gets me from A to B in style and I enjoy driving it, its all cool. However thats my view which seems to differ greatly from 99% on here, and Im cool with that. Thanks for the complement though, its much appreciated.

black with red stripe?!

No thanks, SUPER unoriginal. Part of what i love most about your car is that the wheels are blue haha. Find some way to keep the color at least... plzzz?

I never said I was going to keep them that way Its easier to refinish them because the lip has not been machined on those. Im more pushing toward the grids since it would be easy as fawk to polish.

Pic of the Grids I want. Too bad there 750 plus shipping.
