Man how's the flooding out there? Heard the river crested already. We should be getting all that water any day now.

Looks like you have more snow then we do still.

 

Flood was pretty bad. Not quite as bad as expected but still an inconvenience.
Filling sandbags is always a great time!
Snow is pretty much gone now except where the plows piled it up.

How bad does it usually get up there?

 

They open up the floodway so Winnipeg stays dry but some of the smaller communities get it bad cause the flow of the rivers is changed. Usually the main highway connecting Winnipeg to the US/Canada border gets flooded and you need to take a detour.

I live in a high area so don't have to worry about flooding at all. I live roughly 45-60 mins north of the border.

 

Gotcha. Thats gotta suck for those low places when they divert it.
They keep talking about doing that here too but that would mean all the farms and stuff outside of town would get ruined. No real good good solution here.

 

It was nearly 30 today here. Did my daily cardio outside after the gym today, shirtless for all the ladies and got a sweet tan because you know... metric system ftw.
