Plastidipped the whole car over the weekend. Thrilled with the end result.

 

It should be illegal to plasti dip white balts. Good job on it though.

Went up to the Ice Cream Cruise, was REALLY surprised to see not only another sedan, but a yellow one.

Unicorn convention, we even raced eachother twice at MAM.

I'd say go for it. It doesn't take a whole lot of practice to figure out how to get it smooth.
The spray gun makes us look good haha

 

I agree. Just take your time and do a few tests before spraying the whole car and you will be fine!

Rader did you prime underneath it? Or just straight up lay the white on

 

I used the gunmetal grey as a base coat then the white over top, for white they say it sprays too thin over paint but if u do another coat of dip underneath it sticks and covers better.

 

I was thinking about going. If would have gone it would have made 3 yellow balts but mine is a coupe.

not really hating i get it cheaper than paint but i think its a real strange thing to do...sometimes it turn outs good looking like the the above pics and some times just awful..

 

When u do it the right way, ie using a gun and not with rattle can, it turns out just fine and after a bit of practice it lays as smooth as paint and u can't tell it's dip and not paint. If u ever get a chance check out the forums at dipyourcar.com some of the custom colors and pearls these guys are using are insane.
