Yeah man, power delivery is smooth up to redline once it starts to go, but dat lag! No reason to be WOT in this car anywhere. The 6 speed is silky smooth though; it's like driving an auto.

 

That's why I got rid of my Cobalt, too many things needing fixed on it and the warrenty was just about up.

 

Woot, I'm not the only one. I still love Cobalts more than life itself, but it was literally spiralling me into depression dealing with mine breaking all the time. Got to rip around in a 2013 3.7 Mustang yesterday, and now I dunno if I can ever buy another FWD car again.

 

Lol ya I <3 my cobalt too much to part with, dont know what I'd get to replace it with if I ever had to... eventhough I hate korean cars more then anything, I still hope you enjoy your new car , and remove anything that even hints its a KIA, HAHA!

black vinyl the roof, lightly smoke the tails an leave the revers part white, drop it an some kewl wheels.. it'll look 10x better, an it's not as hard as you might think.. throw a supacharger on there call it a day

Looks nice and clean. I like the looks of those cars, but could never buy anything Korean.

 

I have Eibach springs already, the 18" Drag wheels it's on now are perfect for the car, IMO. Roof will be done when I get to Calgary, will be very easy with no sunroof.

 

I non turbo car with turbo lag something about tht just sounds like bad enginnering.

Its a granny that lots of cars have.

When you floor it, the computer basically says "are you sure?" then waits (like a second or 2) and if your still flooring it, it will take off.

The LE5's have this.

 

No way man. That's just a lack of power overall in the LE5. The Forte is a million times worse. Mileage is exceptional, but boy did they take some shortcuts to get there.

No the LE5 actually has it. THe throttle body won't open all the way at first. That's why when you get tuned, the response is so much better.

 

looks good man! my wifes forte has that lag too. sometimes i get mad at the car. the wife thinks im crazy when im swearing and yelling. one day i said "come on you POS go already" lol no joke she says why are you getting mad? i said because this thing is slower than a slug swimming in peanut butter.

 

I actually really like these cars.

they look alright but they drive like ****.

shifter like a wet noodle, gearing is so f**ked, engine vibrates and rattles like crazy anything above 3,500rpm, lots of clunks and bumps from underneath and everything squeeks worse than my cobalt.. oh and gutless too lol
