I thought it was common knowledge that GM developed alot of the common technology in todays cars?

if you really want to **** a honda guy off, tell him gm first patented vtec. its true. in 1975 gm designed and patented the first variable valve timing and lift system, and it worked much like the vtec on hondas, except in an overhead valve configuration, and used it on a v8. it never made it to production as it didnt do what gm was after (at the time, better economy was the big thing).

gm has pioneered a lot of technology used in many cars, however a lot of the stuff they dont even use themselves, they develop it to a point and sell the patents and rights to it.

I just wanna point out that your driving a POS cobalt but u won't drive the fast sedan in the world...? dumbs or maybe that arizona DRY heat is getting to him....

 

hahaha right! when I saw that I was like uhhhhh you wouldnt drive a 550hp supercharged v8 with amazing comfort and handling and an interior far beyond the cobalt... if he wouldnt be caught dead in a cts-v he better kill himself because hes driving a cobalt.

I drove the CTS-V coupe last week, very nice car, surprisingly comfy for a sports car. The exhaust note is kinda lame tho, should of offered it with a dual mode exhaust like the new Vettes come with so it had a bit more grunt when you got on it.

Nothing a aftermarket exhaust cant fix tho I guess.

I am not a fan of the coupe rear styling tho, I'd much rather the wagon or the sedan.

Seriously fast car tho.

Yeah I drive a cobalt, good job on pointing out the obvious lol Its sad that my cobalt looks better then a ugly ass cadillac! Cadillac, chevy, GM... They are all cheap pieces of ****! As far as the V being the fastest sedan, last time I checked the Panamera turbo, charger SRT8, and the new M5 are faster around the ring. Its also sad that for how cheap the CTS-V is compared to the M5 people still choose the M5 over the V. Bmw's sales are just unbeatable so they must be doing something right cause numbers talk.
