Do you like it? eh?
Well, I can't really wait to show this sweet thing off, so you get a few cell phone pics...I'll post legit pics tomorrow night. :D
Before http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...3996843341.jpg Almost there- Apparently that hose that runs over the blower, tends to rub...this after about 100k of that rubbing. Little black smudges are from dirty fingerprints, they're gone now.. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...3996843743.jpg And on the car, with the coil pack lid done as well. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...3996844011.jpg Whatcha think? inb4you'rearicer. |
lookes good, but to bad its going to heat soak worse than it already did now, casue that coating is going to make the blower soak the heat not letting it out now. but looks bitchen
|
I don't worry too much about heatsoak...it's a 100k mile stage 2 car.
I'm not sinking too much more into it...I don't want to have to build the motor. |
looks alright... not a fan of soo much color personally

I haven't agreed to that just yet...I'm a K State fan, I can't have a red and blue motor. haha |
Ah... boo I'm a KU fan... LOL
I did mine in black... with a laser blue coil pack cover and fusebox cover... |
Bueller?
|
Is it just me or is that a filter on your oil cap location?

Thats what i was thinking too! whats all that about lol:lol:
That has been a modification on Higher HP LSJ's for a REALLY long time. REEEAAAAALLY long time. LSJ's are bad about Crankcase Pressure under boost. Having that filter helps prevent things like the dipstick shooting out. |
looks mean

You should have un-bolted the pulley. I see paint/overspray on the inside of it :( Other than that it looks good !!
I'm not a huge fan of putting coatings on the blower. It doesnt allow the heat to dissipate as quickly as a blower with out a coating. |

so performance isnt sacrificed no power gained, just constant power no lost |

so performance isnt sacrificed no power gained, just constant power no lost The proper way to do it, would be to upgrade the Breather on the back of the Valve Cover & on the Intake to a -10an fitting, and then run -10an line between them. That's how they did it in the Build Book, IIRC. And even better way would be to hook up a Vacuum pump to the port on the valve cover with a pressure switch, so that when your boost hits 10psi or so, it'll start sucking air. Crankcase Scavenging. Pulling solid vacuum in the crankcase has all kinds of good benefits. Even more so with boost. One thing I would recommend NOT doing, is just putting a filter on that fitting on the back of the Valve Cover. That's a real easy way to get the back of your block covered in Oil/Sludge. Ask me how I know. ;) |
haha well put, i asked my friend the other day what the breather was for and so i knew a lil bit today haha

I have been just running a Filter on the back of the Valve Cover until yesterday. I've now got a hose running off the valve cover to a Catch Can. I'm working on finding a pump, ATM. Looking to have a -10an fitting welded into the back of the Valve Cover, and then run a -10an hose from the valve cover to the pump.
just saying :) hahaha |
