Nothing new there. Most of the UAW members are good people but the few bad ones ruin it for them all.

This post in no regaurds is anything against any group (UAW) or any particular company. It could happen at any place of empolyment, which I am sure it does. FOX just decided to to a write up on this group of employees, which we found intersting.

I think they (20-30 of them) got suspensions or terminations. Chrysler watched the tapes, and anyone caught on film had action taken.

Biggest thing for Chrysler is IF a consumer was in an accident, and it was built by a line empolyee that was on film, withing this build week, Chrysler would have NOTHING to stand on. They would be at fault pretty easy IMO.

Sounds just like the old days...I had to read a book in college titled Rivethead by a guy named Ben Hamper. Good book in my opinion outlining the basic life of an assembly line worker back in the 70s...in the book he was saying they always used to do that stuff...at GM plants lol

I know it can happen anywhere. I've worked in UAW plants (not Chrysler) and seen them drinking at lunch. I also know that the vast majority of them are good people and actually pretty well educated.

good to hear. we don't need POS like that working in our plants. give the jobs to the people that really want it and won't abuse it like they did.

it reminded me of roaches when you turn on the light.

too bad a cop wasn't around to pull their asses over and bust them for DUI's and open containers.

And littering, the one missed the garbage can, making the park a mess. Broken glass could cause a bad cut on a child.

I have worked at a CAW plant (Canadian Union) and I've seen it all. Saw one guy Hot Box a brand new car. I also Found empty 40's at a work station. Working on the line will do that to you.

You should move this to the Lounge since it's more discussion worthy....

And at least they're drinking and smoking off company property. When I worked at General Motors it wasn't uncommon to see mini-bar bottles of booze all over the place. When I worked at their warehouse, you'd go up on a lift, and you'd see 10-20 empty bottles high up on the shelves.
