Comparison done on Edmunds.com..
SS- 205hp@5600rpm 200ft-lbs@4400rpm

Fuel cap.-13 gal
Eclipse GT V6- 263hp@5750rpm 260ft-lbs@4500rpm
Weight-3472
Fuel cap.-17.7 gal
Say 1 gallon of gas weighs about 10 lbs, that would make the SS roughly 3121, and the GT (rounding to 18 gal.) about 3652. That's only a 531 pound difference. The GT should at LEAST be able to hang, what was the deal with that race...?
*note* The redline does weigh 46lbs less than the SS, same engine though...
