Unhappy Egged.....

So i was at my buddies house tonight and some @!#$ egged my car..... Luckily i noticed it right away and got to a DIY pressure wash car wash within and hour or two of it happening.... I spent a good amount of time pressure washing it.

I hope its alright

This makes me sick to my stomach worrying if the paint will be fine.

Mine got egged last summer. Bastard threw the eggs so hard that they took the paint off of my passenger side door. Got the actual egg off, but the damage had already been done. Although it was random, I pretty much found out within a couple hours who it was and where he was....POLICE WOULDN'T DO ANYHTING!!! I was pretty mad that they were sitting on their ass instead of helping me bust this young ***** when the proof was right under their nose...

Im pretty sure i know who did it. Luckily the police were fast this time around.... (it was a car guy cop) He was there within 15 minutes and i was at the car wash with 1-2 hours of it happening.

And my paint did chip a bit in the passenger quarter panel (just went and checked on my baby)

My old car was egged in high school. fresh paint+eggs sitting overnight=faded paint spot about the size of a baseball

The shitty part was that I heard something outside while on the phone with my gf and I figured it was just raining.

The other problem U have to look 4 now is "shell damage". If the unbroken egg struck glass, U will be OK. However... it the egg struck and broke on a painted surface, look VERY closely at the exact impact area. What U may see, (hopefully not), at the impact spot is a a tiny area of "cut paint", almost or in a tiny circle or oblong pattern. From that point out, you may start to see (and feel) larger circles or oblongs of the same cut paint pattern.
What happens is, the eggshell is make of a hard substance with a great deal of calcium. At first break, this hard shell cuts the paint (depending somewhat on angle of the egg, type of egg and velocity of impact). As the egg continues to break from initial impact , the shell breaks larger and larger as the shell breaks from the smallest to the larger area od the shell. Very destructive and combined with the egg (liquid) itself.... it is MURDER or paint!
Check closely and see it there is any damage from the shell.. Hope it's OK for you!
