The interiors on Evos fall apart, its one of their worst attributes, and its pathetic for a car that cost $35,000 brand new.

Its not built well AT ALL. Those cars FALL APART. Its based on a $12,000 Lancer, which means same interior and basic chassis components.

The only parts on the Evo that don't break or fall apart are the name brand parts sourced from other companies, like Brembo, ect.

How is the Evo nothing special? And this shows what you do know about the vehicle. Its not even the same body as the "lancers" of the same year, nothing besides the name "Lancer" is in common. Its its own car. The interior is better than out interiors which you can snap apart in 3 seconds. The build quality is world class, seeing as its one of the most popular sports cars, ever. Its been tested and beat to **** in stock form and not once missed a beat. And yes the MR EDITION 6 speeds aren't as good as its 5 speed. Which is why all the Evo guys have the 5 speed when they are in it seriously. Hell even the OP has a 5 speed evo! I roll around with all mitsu guys (who appreciate my car as well) and know what the car can do.

And I actually know of 3 100K+ Evos. And many of them don't make it that far because they end up as race cars for NUMEROUS companies or get ridiculous built motors and you don't hear about them anymore as mileage by that point is something you just don't care about.

If you're looking for a reliable car that gets good fuel economy and doesn't look like ****, the Evo is obviously not the better car.

Its the same basic chassis, shows exactly how much you know about your own car. The body panels and suspension are the main differences, interior is the same too.

The build quality is world class?? LMAO, thats a joke, its a MITSUBISHI. They are built the same way the base model Lancer is, on an assembly line using Mitsubishi parts. The build quality is ANYTHING BUT world class, more like 3rd world.

#1: Not subjective. It is. Cobalt come stock with recaros? nope, some did, bot not standard. Have broken numerous records and DOMINATE the import/4 cylinder drag racing segment as well as the time attack field? Nope, evo does though. Can break into the 11's easily...low 11's. Cobalt can't, evo can. Looks good, handles good, and is an icon in the car community? Cobalt (total opposite, actually disdained), Evo...yep. There is a reason world renowned people support the car and the fact that all over the world people modify them, break records with them, and the reason the car has become a benchmark. You will get laughed at if you try to tell anyone who really knows cars, that a cobalt is better than the evo.

#2: Same basic chassis? There is nothing in common with the Evo and the lancer. Besides the name. We have the EXACT same chassis as the base model cobalts. And our parts are even interchangable. The evos and the lancers are not (sans Evo X).

#3: A local event in Indianapolis called Winged Warrior judges cars based on all around performance. Time attack, drag, and car show. Its team domestic against team import, and team import has won EVERY YEAR. Ya know why? Because the top competitors are Evos'. They can handle, turn right and drag and they are a good looking car whether or not you want to admit to it or keep being a cobalt/mustang/sti/whatever fanboy. They do all things well. Can your car with an intake do that? I think not.

Your...OUR cobalts have a bunch of cheaply made money saver parts all over them. And look like they are made cheaply. I would like to know what interior is "nice" to you? A 60k car? What other 30k performance car would you say has a "nice" interior?

And because a car is made on an assembly line its bad? CTS-V is a 3rd world car too right?

Mitsu didn't make a lot of well made cars, but they DID make the evo right, real right. When has Top Gear given praise to a cobalt? :|

#4: PS that was PERSONALLY. Just because a car isn't on the forums doesn't mean that there aren't 100k evo's out there. stop being ridiculous.

The car has a paint job that cost more than your car, wheels that we can't even put on our cars with a nice stance to them, and a lot more HP than you will ever make on your cobalt. I love the cobalt and always will, it was my first car that I liked. I put a ton of money into it and it was worth it. The evo is built much better. It is a very solid vehicle. Not nearly as many squeaks and rattles and going over every bump it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart, lol. I am enjoying it.

I will be spending most of my time here still, the evo guys are pretty hard headed and don't want to accept the fact that the cobalt would kill this eve (as it currently sits) past 60mph.
