Fire in PHX
So yesterday the GF and I were chillin and all of a sudden we heard a loud boom. It is summer so naturally we thought wtf is that, the day had been overcast but when we looked out the front door we were greated with huge rain clouds ... IN THE DESERT ... IN THE SUMMER. We went back in wondering wtf is going on and again we heard thunder so my gf let the dogs out so they could do their business and I went to the front door and saw a HUGE flash of lightning and then thunder again. I ran inside to get my camera and started taking a few pictures. It started sprinkling a bit but it evaporated really fast and traditional to late summer storms there is normally a wall of dust...
-
After seeing that wall of dust building up I decided to go into the garage to avoid dirt getting into the house and I thought I saw another huge wall of dust but upon looking further I saw what it really was,
-
-
At that point I am like dude holy crap so I got into my car and headed to the direction of the smoke much to my surprise it was only 2 miles away.

As you can see from the images the fire is insanely close to small houses though at this time it is on one side of a river which happens to mark indian reservation territory and there are no complete roads to get there and put it out.
As a result the fire ends up jumping the river at some point due to high winds and here you can see that it threatens this farm house.

These following images were taken in high burst mode for a total of 41 images, you can see here just how fast the fire was actually burning but becareful this file is 11megs, http://yah-evolution.net/pics/fire/fastfire.gif

it's a huge brush fire so trees, bushes, cacti or anything in its path it is actually still burning but the roads are closed now so I can't get close. The majority of downtown phx is engulfed with smoke and falling ash
Bump for the night owls
