i plan on getting a Pioneer touchscreen HU soon , and as far as the HVAC plate how would i black it out without getting the settings covered????

Yeah, you just get a black one fro ma base model. I got mine off eBay. You can either just use the black overlay or just plug in the new unit. It's all plug any play.

Just be VERY careful to not break the lights inside the unit if you only use the cover!

I've got the in-dash screen and black ac combo with gloss black trim and it's very clean..
