I'm thinking you're shopping in the wrong store if you thought that a Cobalt forum would be the place to crow about a Camaro, though. It s a great car - but its certainly not the be-all and end-all; just as drag racing isn't the be-all and end-all definition of a fast car.
Well said.

**** flows both ways around here!

Really, what is the engine torque rating on a 6L80E? Last time I heard anything, it was no more than 450 torque. It doesn't sound that high, but I'd say It'd be testimony for Vince if he'd eat up one of those, not to mention how sticky your tires have to be to be able to lock down all that torque enough to blast one!

yeah its about 450 ft-lbs.. good news? circle D builds one has has held 1000whp, which is tough as nails... and to get one built by them? $1700-$2200(depending on options)... not something that would absolutely break the bank in the event it actually broke... with bolt-ons and tune, you'd have to abuse the **** out of the car for it to ever be an issue, since filming these pulls, i've did two more pulls, both yesterday in showing my cousin who came in from Atlanta.......i'm usually not that hard on the car

Vince's tune doesn't eat 6L80Es up, Trifecta is just a competitor of Area47 and his tuning

I wanna see area47 vs a f150 ecoboost with a tune also. The 6.2 would take it

so you ran a 12.86 @105 once, never posted a slip, etc?

get the hell on

the way you boasted about this truck I thought the damn thing was going to be running mid 11s or better, lol

i'd GLADLY line up with you right now tune only and walk the f*** out of you in my "slow ass 5th gen"....because if you think on my next trip i'm going to trap 105(and I actually trapped 107 on my last trip, but the e.t. was slower than 13.204, it was in the 13.3x range)

I trapped 107 in the sti with just an exhaust. Bragging about trapping 105 in a v8 is laughable.

Ps you will get slaughtered by a truck.

You do have 4 more cylinders and more then twice the displacement.

Anything under 120 trap in a v8 should be grounds for /life

the thing is THAT is what Area's truck ran.....12.80s @ 105 ONCE, as in it was the ONLY time he ever broke 12s... with no slip... his truck is also full bolt-ons with a tune... I trapped 107 pretty much stock(the x-pipe and axleback show NO gains on a damn dyno, a sound mod)... and i've already trapped faster than he has PRIOR to the tune... the tune alone will give me about half a second and 4-5mph... and by all means on a BETTER prepped track, it would have trapped higher the NORM is 108-110mph for these cars

I put it this way, let me keep my "bunk ass" Trifecta tune, give me some AR headers w/ solo mids, and a Halltech CAI w/ ADM scoop(i.e pretty much full bolt-on like his truck)

i'll travel to run area as his truck sits right now for any amount he wants... he knows damn well he doesn't want that race

he best be bringing a cam or the god damn bottle and pray even then he gets traction

he also never posted a slip of his 12.80s pass with bolt-ons, which is especially funny considering everyone else with bolt-ons and a 6.2L silverado is struggling to run low/mid 13s

I mean if you are all wanting to compare what my car ran to what it ran at STEELE in October with absolutely no track prep(and once again, multiple Bama guys who own Cobalts will back me on that) or in these videos I posted in 30 degree weather on the street then by all means go ahead... like I said, the track opens up in March, we'll go on a Sunday when they actually use VHT... stay tuned

L99s have hit 12.30s on the stock converter and bolt-ons... Area has the "fastest" bolt-on truck at 12.80s.... which like I said is about 4-5 tenths faster than the NEXT guy(and there are MULTIPLE in the 13.20-13.30s range)... but even if he does run his be all best all time run, if I run an "average" header/bolt-on L99 time....its going to be about 3-4 1/10ths, I.e. car lengths, lol... and from a roll? won't be any better for him

and I didn't come here to talk ****, but it doesn't mean I can't sling it with the best...

come to kc bitch boy. you better run what your mouth says it will. this IS a call out. you will lose.

you went through an awfully lot of trouble to dig up **** on me kid. what failed to see is what the truck does on average. what you also failed to see is what other people are actually running with the same mods, or a cam. same field for bolt ons, a whole lot faster for a cam. you also apparently didn't see the details on da and track prep.

so to put this lightly junior with a big mouth. if you seriously think my truck is "just bolt ons" now, you're seriously mistaken.

p.s. my 5140lb brick will smash your ***** son.

to the kids talking **** on 105 mph traps. you trap 105. you're still in the high 13's. go sit in time out.

post up a video and a time slip of this beast of a truck... I bet you respond with words... any takers?

surely you can afford a HD hero or have these things called friends who can record your truck in action, its not that hard this day and age

and as far as taking time to look you up, google "area47 6.2L"

you'll be shocked

I did it expecting to see you running mid/low 11s... saw you saying you had ran 12.80s @105 ONCE but that it wasn't normal and started laughing my ass off

that was posted 11-14-2011... I DOUBT you have since broke any records in near freezing weather in Missouri with closed drag strips... in other words

I'M THROWING THE BULL **** FLAG on your truck being faster... its a 13.0 truck that has ran 12.80s once and that was on an E85 blend from 112 octane, lol

if you're going to talk **** on the internet, at least for god sake.... use different screen names, lol... google can make your claims look pretty damn retarded....

P.S. myself and the rest of that board.... still waiting on a slip
